Arteries carry oxygenated blood away from the heart so it can travel to the various organs and be used. However the pulmonary artery is an exception as it carries deoxygenated blood to the lungs to gain oxygen. Otherwise the others only carry oxygenated blood :)

In the differences between veins and arteries it says veins 'rarely' pulsate 'mainly' carry deoxygenated blood one vein is different from the rest which one?

Viens do not have a pulse, but they do have valves that arteries do not. Most veins carry oxygenated blood toward the heart. The only exception is the pulmonary veins that carry oxygenated blood to the left atrium of the heart. The same is true for arteries. They carry oxygenated blood from the lungs to the rest of the body except the lungs. The pulmonary arteries are the only exception because they carry deoxygenated blood to the lungs.

What veins carry oxygenated blood?

The only veins in an adult that carry oxygenated blood are the pulmonary veins, which carry blood from the lungs to the heart after it has been oxygenated. All other veins in the body carry relatively de-oxygenated blood. However in fetal circulation, the umbilical vein also carries oxygenated blood.Otherwise, arteries carry oxygenated blood to the body from the aorta and heart.
