Density is defined by the equation d = m/v, or mass / volume. So yes, they are related, and if one has the volume of an atom and the Atomic Mass, they can figure out the density. Keep in mind that the vast majority of the mass in an atom is in the nucleus, but the majority of the volume is given by the electron cloud (which has negligible mass.)

density describes how atoms float

density is mass/volume. Atoms are mostly empty space with almost all the mass concentrated in a tiny nucleus. Density in the normal world has more to do with how many atoms are in a certain volume.

As atoms become closer to one another due to bonding then density becomes more. If the atoms have to be apart due to their electron configuration then density becomes less.

What effect does size have on density?

Size and Density are different aspects of an object or material. Size describes how much 3-dimensional space an object occupies. This can be described by simple terms of length, width, and/or height, or as volume. Density refers to the mass of a material found in a specific volume. In general, one does not have an effect on the other

What the density of a dime?

The density of anything can be found using m/v=d. where m is mass, v is volume, and d is density. therefore you find the volume of the coin (whether it be penny, nickel, dime, quarter, or peso) and then mass the coin on a balance and work the problem out.

Where are gravitational electromagnetic and nuclear forces found?

Any object that has a mass also has a gravitational field. Any object that has a charge has an electrostatic field Any charged particle that is undergoing acceleration has a Magnetic field Nuclear forces are found in the nucleus of atoms holding them together.

Density if found by dividing what two things?

Density=Mass/Volume

What causes object of the same volume to sink rather than float?

Its density. An object which is less dense than water will float. An object more dense than water will sink. This puzzled the Classical Greek scientist, Archimedes, until one day he got in the bath and the water flowed over the edge. He ran down the street shouting ' Eureka!!!! I have found it!!!!'. Today we have the Archimedean definition of floatation. 'The mass/weight of a body immersed in a fluid is equal to the weight/mass of the fluid displaced'. So if you suspend a 3 kg house brick in water , it will only weigh about 2kg. Difference in weight is the mass of the water displaced.

What is the relationship of mass to density?

The relationship of mass to density is that density is found by dividing mass over volume. Density is how tightly packed atoms are in an object while mass is how much something weighs.

What is density's property?

Density is a property relating to the mass and volume of a given substance.

What is the formula for the density of a regular shaped object?

density=mass/volume Thtas how dez equations are found.

What is a density of mass?

There is no such thing. There is the density if any object which has both mass and volume. Density is found by dividing mass by voleum.

Mass per unit volume of material?

Mass per unit of volume is the most common way to measure density, which shows how close the particles, molecules, and atoms are to each other. Therefore, it can be found by taking a certain amount of space (volume) and dividing it by how many atoms (mass) can be found in it.

How do you calculate the density of a non-uniform object?

The density of a non-uniform object can be found by using its mass and volume. The volume can be measured by placing the object in volumetric glassware filled with water. The increase in volume is equal to the volume of the object. The object can then be weighed using a scale. The density of the object will be given by the ratio of mass / volume.

If the density and volume of an object is known what can also be found?

If you know the density and the volume, you can calculate the mass. This is becausedensity = mass/volume.

Does density refer on how hard an object is?

No, density refers to the amount of matter that can fit into a specific volume. It is found by dividing the mass of the substance by its volume.

What is a measureable physical property that can be found by dividing the mass of an object by its volume?

Mass/Volume = Density

16 Why is the state of matter a physical property and not a chemical property?

A physical property can be found without changing the composition of the substance. when you are finding the density of an object, you simply have to divide the object's mass by its volume. There is no chemical change occurring.

Blank Is a measureable physical property that can be found by dividing the mass of an object by its volume?
