Yes ! Beneficial bacteria are everywhere. They are in the food that we eat, the air that we breathe and the water that we drink. They appeared on earth over 3.7 billion years ago and have colonised virtually every environmental niche since. To date, approximately 4,000 species of bacteria are known to man but it is thought that there are many millions that remain to be identified. Bacteria are found in the coldest, hottest, driest, wettest, deepest and highest places on earth. They can survive in the most acidic, alkaline and salty of environments. They can eat virtually anything from dead bodies to car tyres. They have been found growing in toxic waste dumps and sites contaminated by radiation. They can help certain plants grow by accumulating nitrogen from the atmosphere. They are involved in the production of various foods and beverages like yoghurt, cheeses and wine. Without bacteria there would be no degradation. We, as humans, cannot live without them. Our bodies are covered in billions of bacteria (normal flora) that provide us with nutrients that we cannot supply ourselves and they help us digest our food. Like every living thing on earth, it is of vital importance for bacteria to reproduce and pass on their genetic information to the next generation. Many bacteria do this in harmony with their environment by existing in a free-living or parasitic form. Of the parasites, only a very small portion of them actually cause disease and this characteristic can actually be seen as a failure of the bacteria to adapt to its environment.
Yes it can. For example the initestinal flora bacteria can secrete chemicals to fight other invading bacteria in the intestines. There are many antibiotics also present which are extracted from some bacteria which either kill other bacteria or microorganism i didnt know that :I
Yes there are more good bacteria than bad. 90% of bacteria are good and the other 10% are bad.

No such thing as "bad bacteria" and "good bacteria" because they are all one and the same (though not literally) and can be affected by the same thing if the "bad" bacteria is targeted. A rod-shaped bacterium can be any bacterial species, "good" or "bad."
bad
it is a good microbe
Yes there are. Some good bacteria that help in the aid of digestion. Note, that there are some bad bacteria, but most are actually good.
There are good and bad bacteria in the sap of trees from the forest floor. The bad bacteria in sap will cause the tree sap to be foul smelling, or dry sap will appear grey.
Bacteria is good and bad for you.
bad bacteria can get you sick and ruin your immune system....and good bacteria helps protect you from the bad bacteria trying to ruin your immune system!!!

Good bacteria will not harm you if you consume it, it is also used in the production of cheese, alchohol and bread. Good bacteria is aslo used to break down matter in the enviroment. Bad bacteria will result in terribly BAD injuries or death. So dont consume bad bacteria and try not to consume good either! BY GEORGE.maka ...

A bacterial vaginal infection is when the balance between good bacteria and bad bacteria in the vagina is lost. While these infections are more likely to happen in women who are sexually active, this isn't always the case.
