They need about 2 cups according to your turtles size!!it needs to be past his shell a bit so he floats!if he ain't floating fill it up a little bit more they also need a bit of land but not to much they always need some water
It depends. If it's an an aquatic turtle then yes, it needs to be able to swim in and go under water with some surface above water. Tortoises and land turtles need enough water for them to soak in, but not enough to drown in.
it can but it is mostly a land turtle or tortoise.> Yo im sorry but your turtle does need enough water to cover his entire body but i agree he is a land turtle so he needs a lot of land
no they are known as a tortoise (in other words he stays out of water or no) but they might like to go near it some times for a drink
Yes! Box turtles need water, although they can go for many days without drinking in the wild.
Box turtles do not live in water but on land. They are the only true land turtle, but that doesn't mean that they don't enjoy a quick dip in some shallow water.
Yes. Baby turtles need shallow water.
Box turtles live on land not in water
Turtles can live anywhere. Some live in water.
Box turtles live on land and are the only true land turtles. But they do enjoy a dip in shallow water to cool off.
No. technically, tarapins are land creatures and turtles live in a water environment (i.e. loggerhead turtles, snapping turtles)
yes box turtles can live in sand
Box turtles need both land and water to survive.
I would have to say NOOOOO!! snappers are aggressive and bit a lot and get much BIGGER than box turtles.also box turtles are land turtles and snappers are almost fully aquatic
turtles still live in water but not all turtles.
water turtles live in the water land turtles live in the land
Box turtles are land animals, they are also reptiles. Although they live on land, they do enjoy an occasional dip in shallow water.
Land turtles.
Most box turtles eat worms and small insects... It really depends on the species of box turtle.... Most box turtles do not eat fish because they don't live in the water and being in water too long can harm their health.
