bilateral symmetry is when you can divide something into to equal half's like if you cut a line through the middle of a circle you have 2 half's that are the same that is radial symmetry.

Radial symmetry is every line or direction going towards a central axis in other words all directions pointing to the exact middle of the object.

Hope this helps ^_^.

P.S. If you don't believe me look it up.

All butterflies, like other insects, have bilateral symmetry.

Bilateral symmetry means something has symmetry across one plane (known as the sagittal plane, and directly down the centre of their body), which means one side of their body approximately mirrors the other side.

because if you split it down the middle you will have the same stuff on the each other
