Depends. I got my cartilage pierced with a gun and was like being stapled. The hole closed and I redid it myself with a piercing needle. The piercing needle was 20 guage and did not hurt as much. Hard to compare to finger pricks as the nerves feel differentally in both parts of the body. (When self piercing, one side bled a lot but did not hurt. The other side did not bleed but hurt a lot more. It wasnt so much the sticking the needle through the skin as it was pushing the needle through the cartilage, even using a foam backing to aid the procedure. Anyways, they both healed well.)
People perceive pain differently, but I felt that the tragus did hurt more than a regular cartilage piercing.
A tragus is cartilage so it won't be much different. It may hurt when they use clamps or pull on the tragus to pierce it. They'll be a little more pressure too.
Of course it would. They earlobe is a soft price of cartilage and is easy to pull and stretch, but a cartilage piercing would go through a very hard, almost bone-like, peice of cartilage.
To have my blood tested, they have to prick my finger with a pin.

George Carline is a stand up comedian. Some of his quotes: "No one knows whats next, but everybody does it", " You can prick your finger, Just don't finger your prick" and "By and large, Language is a tool for concealing the truth."
Ice your finger until it is numb.Make sure that your finger is warm, you can put the finger under warm water. reason being, you capillary blood thins from the heat and stimulates blood flow. Massage the tip of your finger, to increase the blood flow also. Disinfect with alcohol swab, then gently squeeze your finger, prick your finger, whip fist drop off and squeeze your finger gently again. You should get a droplet enough for your test. Do not use ice, this decreases the blood flow to the area, resulting in less blood and the pain of having to prick again. Trust me I am a Medical Assistant! I am diabetic and preform this procedure all day!
