Most caterpillars form cacoons to turn into butterflies but if they have some sort of illness or are not able to form a cacoon they will not but their ultimate goal is to turn into butterflies.
Well, I think so, because I was on my sisters balcony and she found this wierd dirt cocoon thing. She didn't know what it was so she sprayed it and it fell off the place it was hanging. Then after we left it a little catapillar head came out and started draging itself along the ground with its body inside. So I suppose that there is a catapillar that makes dirt cocoons :)
Yes, they go into their cocoons during the Spring time.
Some caterpillars, like the moth caterpillar dig into the soil to become pupas. Others prefer the safety of trees and plants.
maybe imve been waiting for a couple days now because we grew caterpillars in our class but not tiger caterpillars
grasshoppers
no
Moths make a Cocoon, and butterflies make a chrysalis. But I do believe that all caterpillars (that make it alive) must go through their pupa stage.
yes i think their called spider caterpillars
they will make their cocoon
It will become a butterfly. It will become a moth.
no inside the beans are caterpillars then they make cocoons in the bean then eat their way out as moths
You put the dirt in the water, then you make a hoe and use it on the dirt
No, not fresh water. But salt water from oceans or water with soap in it is toxic to caterpillars, which would make them die.
