Well, mice have been known to eat bugs like they might in the wild when times are harsh. My gerbil was lost for two days on our patio, eating nothing but bugs, although I'm can't tell you if a mouse would eat a caterpillar (they like mealworms though). I guess it really depends on the mouse: like how big the mouse is, how big the caterpillar is and what the mouse's personality is.

Well, I'm 12, so I'm not POSITIVE if I'm right, but before I bought my mouse I looked at a site for mice and it said that they can't, but when I went to PetCo to buy it, they said that they can eat it.

It might be as simple as it gives them gas.... I'm not sure, but to be on the safe side, I only give mine cabbage in small amounts.

Cabbages do not belong to a cat's normal diet. However some individual cats may like it, you should not give them too much, as it is difficult to digest it. If your cat graves for cabbage, it means there is a lack of fiber in his diet and you should get him some cat grass or a fern to nip.
