Cats can remember going to the vet, which can cause stress and anxiety. This may lead to changes in their behavior, such as hiding, aggression, or avoiding the carrier.
you should be a vet
Yes so they can get their shots and have a check up like you and me!
Dimetapp is not recommended for cats. Sometimes a vet will recommend something like Benadryl in very small doses. But you should definitely talk to the vet before going ahead with any un prescribed medications for your cat.
Cats may poop in their carrier when going to the vet due to stress or anxiety. The unfamiliar environment, sounds, and smells can trigger this behavior. It is a common reaction in cats when they feel scared or uncomfortable.
Cats should see the vet as often as the vet recommends the cats be seen, but I think usually once a year. My barn cats saw the vet when they were fixed and got their first shots about 5 or 6 years ago. They have not been back since, but they are barn cats.

Neither cats nor dogs can get mumps, although it sometimes may look like it. If you see anything that looks similar to mumps on your pet, take him/her to the vet to see what's going on, but it will not actually be mumps; maybe something else. However, Scientists are experimenting on cats with the mumps virus.
Yes, if you are taking them out in public, like the vet, or nursing homes or schools etc.
My guess would be no, assuming that cats hate water.
try asking your vet :)
If you have new cats you should let them walk around in you house. The cats are going to hide but they do get more use to you when they are around you(or even when they are around your dog, cat etc).I got a sheet to from the vet to! it said to keep them in one room but i have worked (i was a vet before for 13 years)with cats in the past and they need to move around your house.
