Well if your thinking of putting them in the same cage, I don't think that's the best idea, Some people do put them in same cage, but its not safe or advisable. Only the same species of birds should be kept in the same cages, and generally get along with each other better. Parakeets are much more aggressive than cockatiels. they will aim for a cockatiel's feet and toes, pecking at or attacking them. Your cockatail can be severely injured and may end up with missing toes or other types of injuries. Parakeets also tend to over preen their companions. Your cockatail may end up with bald spots.
Well I hope this helps, If you wanna know more visit: http://www.cockatielcottage.net/main.HTML It has so much information about cockatails!

if on top of a parakeets nose is blue it is a boy if pink or white it is a girl.
Parakeets and cockatiels can get along well if introduced properly and raised together, as they have similar social needs and temperaments. However, individual personalities play a significant role, and some birds may not get along due to territorial behavior or differences in size and energy levels. It's important to supervise their interactions and provide ample space and resources to minimize conflicts. Ensuring each bird has its own safe space can also help promote harmony.
Bugies get mites, which cause them itch, and scratch themselves to try and relieve it. Buy some mite spray or powder from the pet shop, and use it regularly (but carefully).
mostly the mom would feed her babies. but when the babies are old enough to eat its food without it being regurgitated, the dad would break seeds for them and feed it to them.
