Do cold and flu tablets affect the birth control pill?

It will effect Birth Control pill. You will need to use a condom for 2 weeks after taking antibiotics to give birth control a chance to reach a sufficent enough level in your system that you will be protected against pregnancy. I am not sure if it effects the morning after pill.

Fluconazole doses of 150 mg and 200 mg have also been shown to increase the serum concentrations of ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel in healthy women receiving low-dose oral contraceptives which would say that if taken in these amounts it would increase the effectiveness of those pills. However lower dosages has shown no increase in these birth control methods.

Cold medications like over the counter pain releivers, pseudoephedrine, guaifenisen, and antihistamines do not affect the birth control pill. Anti-flu medications like Tamiflu also do not affect the pill.
