I don't believe so, I have seen a cougar shaved before and their skin was just like the skin of a normal house cat. I didn't see any stripes. xD

The zebra's skin is actually striped - if they were shaved of all their hair, you would still see the striped skin. It's in their genetic makeup.

Some humans do in fact hunt them for skin and bones. But it is to protect our way of living mostly. Cougars pick off livestock, big heathy bucks. It is a big problem and humans do all we can to provent it.
