it depends on the size of the fish and the tank. if the fish are to small the may fall prey to the crayfish, this problem can be avoided if you have a large tank but, most people would advise that you don't mix these two types of animals

I agree I caught one without claws and it is doing fine in my tropical tank but it is still small.

A crayfish isn't a good idea if you have small fish in the tank.

Crayfish are invertebrates, freshwater lobsters, not fish as a previous answer mentioned. As for placing them in an aquarium, you first need to research what size the particular Cray species you want to keep gets to, that can be anything from 3"-4" to over 12"-15" not including claws! The majority of Crays are also opportunists, so may well eat any fish that are in the tank. They are also escape artists so need a secure lid. Most Crays are territorial, so it's usually best to keep one in a tank alone, no tank mates at all.

If you want to keep Crays, find out the species (latin name) of the type you're interested in and research from there!

No they should be left in the wild. Any sellers should put them back were they got them from. Its not fare to keep that type of creature in a tank.

It depends on what fish you have in the 10g. Small fish (any kind of tetra, guorami, African dwarf frogs, beta) will be eaten or injured, and larger fish may attempt to eat it. Be warned!
