Mixing poison dart frogs of any kind is not generally advisable. It is true that under certain circumstances they will tolerate each other, mixing generally leads to a variety of problems. The larger species will bully the smaller for food, and if they do accept them as cagemates (which is rare) they will usually mate, leading to weak, hybrid young.

Tinctorius are noticeably larger than auratus and are bold and aggressive. Unless you want starved auratus, do not mix them with tincs.
