If you dont like needles it can hurt for a while, but you get used to it. I've had it for 11 years and it doesn't bother me at all anymore!

These are two separate issues. If you have diabetes bad enough, it is harder to heal. If you self hurt, cutting I suppose, this can lead to infection which will only make things worse. Figure out why you are hurting yourself and work on that. Diabetes is not a death sentence and the cutting isn't either. Both can be helped. Figure out that you are worth taking care of and do it.
