Yes, some doctors perform abortions. Most state sanctioned executions require a physician to be in attendance to certify that the condemned is dead. In this case, the doctor may not be directly responsible but it is difficult to argue that the doctor is not complicit. The Unibomber killed people and he was a doctor (PhD). Doctor Mengele (http://www.auschwitz.dk/Mengele.htm) certainly accounted for a large number of painful and gruesome deaths. On the average though, doctors probably save more lives than they terminate.
