I just got off the phone with my wife who was at home where we have two falcons living in one of our front yard trees. She was standing at the curb by the street holding our 18 mo. old daughter when one of the falcons swooped down from behind her and hit her in the head with it's talons. The falcon was not provoked in any way by my wife or daughter.
