Blue light is important for plant growth. This is the light that foliage requires to grow, so without blue light, even if it is not visible separately to humans, plants will not grow. Blue light is a normal part of sunlight and is the type of light provided by standard fluorescent light bulbs.
Whatever the colors are, the brighter light results from the beam of more photons. But each individual blue photon carries more energy than each individual red photon.
Plants grow well in the red end of the light spectrum. Fluorescent tubes come in many light outputs. Cool white which is in the blue end of the spectrum down to the warm white which is on the red end. Manufactures make a growlux tube which is used specifically for plant growth. Store meat counters are starting to use these tubes for display lighting as they enhance the red colouring of the meat on display.
The addition of blue and red light beams give magenta light.
if the blue light carries more energy should this mean anything about the preferred color of warning lights and stoplights
blue light has shorter wavelength than the red light.scattering of light is more when wavelength is small.
no red uses more energy
No, Blue light scatters more than red light, (wr/wb)2=10.
Red light is REFRACTED more than blue light; that's why sunrises and sunsets look red before the Sun comes up, or after the Sun goes down.
Blue light is diffracted more than red. The way I remember is by thinking about the waves being closer together in the blue light and knowing that each wave interacts with the whatever is causing the diffraction (grating or object). More waves in a given area means more interaction which means more diffraction.
A little bit of blue and the more of the color red. It does vary though
white ones with fluorescent stripes down the sides and blue flashing lights ontop. in second place it is mostly large red trucks
Red does as it absorbs photons at blue end of the spectrum( the higher energy) and reflects light at the red end of the spectrum (a lower energy). While the blue light absorbs energy at the red end of the spectrum and reflects blue light
yes teal and light blue is much more popular than red right now

The red light is lower energy than the blue light.
Plants use light energy (present in the photons of blue and red light) to break apart carbon dioxide and combine it with nutrients in order to produce glucose. Any lighting will do as long as it is a strong emitter of blue and red light; the sun is one, and fluorescent bulbs are another.
