∙ 12y agoWhile just downloading a ringtone is very unlikely to cause a virus on your computer, the risks exist from being infected both by the websites themselves (which can often be run by shady folk), or by downloading what you think is a ringtone, but is instead a virus or Trojan horse. Make sure you're downloading a music file, not an executable program, and invest in an active antivirus product, even a free one, to help protect you.
