No. They are born hairless, sightless, without hearing, and skin pigment. It take aprox. 3 weeks for a gerbil to fully resemble a small gerbil.
we dont have hair when we are born do we!
yes. gerbils enjoy sporting many different types of hairstyles.
Gerbils may start to shed when the weather gets warmer. Other that that, gerbils should not loose hair unless they are sick. If a gerbil is loosing hair, it could be very sick.
If the human scent gets on the young gerbils too soon when their skin does not have any hair on them, the mothers will kill them because of the different scent.
gerbils are all born with tails but they have the ability to lose part of their tail. It will never grow back, and it will be harder for them to balance. They like their tails.
They start off bald when born, and can possibly shed for summer, but just barely, but if they sweat it will only look like they're losing hair but it's simply wet. Otherwise, you should take it/them to the vet.
Signs of grey hair means your gerbils growing into an old fart (jk) The gerbils just growing into an old man/woman
no but they will have babies and when they do the father will try to eat them so if you do have babies take the father away when they are being born. male gerbils fight with each other.
Around 28 days of gestation
yes, their tails grow with them.
