Yes. Great Danes were bred to be companions and guardians of their people. They are unhappy when their humans are away from them. When mature, they love long walks or running with their person, but it isn't really necessary to do anything with them. They are just content to be with their people. Being a companion is in their genes.
the dog itself is a Great Dane. Plural (more than one) it is Great Danes.
Great Danes don't attack unless they are trained to. When they are trying to get your attention turn your back on them and they will lose interest. I know this because i have a Great Dane myself. i hope this helped
Neither Great Danes or Boxers are in the top "20" smartest dogs list. That being said, I would have to say Danes are more owner oriented and pay constant attention to their owner's habits and routines which makes them more responsive. I can't say which has a higher average IQ, not sure anyone could.
no because, the great danes are much bigger than the poodles
Yes they do. They are gentle inspite of their huge size and great to have at home. (I own one and he is sweet) Remember, he eats a lot and expects a lot of your attention. If you cannot spend time with him or you cannot spend on quality diet for your dog, then stay away from great danes. Not a good choice for some, but for those willing to give them the attention they need they are exellent pets.
Yes, both my male and female great danes catch and fetch frisbees.
Great Danes are not natuarlly viscous dogs. They can be trained for many jobs, including guarding.
Great Danes are believed to be originated in Germany by the Alans from Mastiff's and probably wolf hounds.
Great danes like all dogs do have backbones.
Very!
No, they do not.
