They tend to be solitary Hunters but it has been known for more than one to attack the same prey. A famous account was a young surfer that was attacked by 2 Great Whites at the same time, whether this was pure coincidence or they acted together is hard to know. The surfer survived. There was also another more recent attack in which a diver was killed on 22 of Feb 2011.
