Actually, they are representative of the soldiers who fought in Vietnam. One is a Marine, the others are Army or possibly Airforce (we both wore the same uniform in Vietnam. One is Hispanic, one Black, one Caucasian. One is an officer, the others are enlisted. There was an uproar among veterans after the Vietnam Memorial was dedicated calling it "The Black Gash of Shame."
