I disagree and know that Guinea pigs are very social animals and need the company of other guinea pigs. Social animals that live on their own get stressed and lonely.
Litter-mates of the same sex should live together, as this minimises the chance of their fighting. Males and females shouldn't be kept together, as they will breed and it can be difficult to find homes for the young.
They do like company and would definitely prefer another guinea pig with them.
No, I doubt it. I do have a friend who has a rabbit and guinea pig in the same hutch but guinea pigs are more friendly to there own species; especially if they're from the same litter.
Rabbits/Bunnies do NOT make good cage mates for Guinea Pigs. The Guinea Pig needs another of its own kind to thrive. Even if it does have another Guinea Pig partner, the Rabbit/Bunny may try to kill, hurt, or eat them. I hope this answers your question!
yeah
Yes, i bought one Guinea pig and added another around the same time, and they get along great.
yes, but don't be surprised if the Guinea pig rejects it too. but it might not
If you only have one guinea pig get him/her another guinea pig friend of the same gender. It could be lonely.
it's horny.
No, only girls get pregnant :)
Yes because guinea pigs are very social animals. It is highly recommended to have more than one guinea pig!
Figure out why your parents will not get you a new guinea pig. Is it because you were not responsible with your old pet? Show your parents that you are responsible and capable of caring for an animal on your own by doing extra chores around the house. You may get your new guinea pig?
You can't breed it if there is not another animal for it to breed with.
