Horses are usually fine with chickens, the chickens keep the horse company. Make sure to be around when your horse is introduced to chickens, as it may be afraid of the chickens..if this is the case, gradually introduce the horse to the chickens under an experts hand
i have chickens and dogs. the dogs are definitely curious about the chickens, and my chickens are penned. i would say depends on how agressive your dogs are, because my chickens arent afraid of the dogs!! due caution should be used when combining two species that are natural enemies,ie:coyotes and chickens. coyotes and dogs are in same family.....
It depends what the breed of dog is and how much it has been trained. Border collies were bred for herding, so they get along with many animals like goats, chickens, pigs and sheep. So do German Shepherds. Overall, most dogs should get along with horses.
This is highly dependent on whether or not they have been raised around each other. Some horses may be afraid of or aggressive towards animal species they are unfamiliar with. Since horses are prey animals they have a very high flight or fight instinct and if they cannot run away from the animal that is scaring them they may then fight back against the perceived threat, and since a turkey is so much smaller than a horse the horse would win that fight.
It would be best to keep them separate if possible, but if not a transition period where they are allowed to meet across a shared fence line would be best until the two species are more comfortable with each other.
Yes, chickens and horses can coexist and the horse will be less likely to spook when flying birds emerge while on the trail.
I would fear for the guinea pig's life. Chickens are surprisingly predatory and bloodthirsty.
Some dogs can get along with guinea pigs. Mine however would eat our guinea pigs if they got the chance.....
I think. I have two female guinea pigs and they get along fine.
no
Every guinea pig has their own personality, it is impossible to tell which guinea pigs they'll get along with and not get along with.
i dont know if they eat pigs, but i do know that chickins should not eat guinea pigs! though as they are bad for them!
no.
no, guinea pigs could hurt the gerbils by accident (big size difference!)
Usually the case with four guinea pigs is that the oldest guinea pig will eat all the others. Beware.
Dogs and guinea pigs usually don't get along well as in the wild the guinea pig is usually preyed upon by animals such as a wild dog. you should keep the guinea pigs away separate from your dogs. There have been times however when a dog and a guinea pig do get along well.
They should, most dogs and guinea pigs get along fine, but you still have to be careful. Like i said, they should be fine, good luck.
I myself own two girl guinea pigs. But i dont understand why they get along so well. I belive that it my just be that girls have no competition, because the competition is left to the boy guinea pigs. So, therefore, that is why girl guinea pigs get along better than boy guinea pigs.
