Generally, they do well in pairs or groups. Depending on your pig's personality, 2 guinea pigs could become friends or begin taking roles in a pack, such as "alpha". Some guinea pigs have no interest in being the dominant guinea pig and just want to be friends. If you see signs of 1 guinea pig being dominant, that is perfectly normal. Just be sure to monitor its behavior around other piggies to make sure nobody is hurt!
