Yes guinea pigs will get a cold the first singns are sniffling and sneezing but they will not die as soon as you hear the sigh you should take your guinea pig to the vet right away so the vet can give you medication for your pet! To avoid this cover the font and sides of the cage with a old towel or blanket WARNING: do not cover the back of cage or else it will die because it won't have any air if you cover the back!

Can you take a Guinea Pig out side in a blanket in the Winter in Georgia?

It depends how cold it is. If you can go outside in a short sleeve shirt and not be cold, it is probably OK for your guinea pig. If it's very cold though, don't take the guinea pig out...even in a blanket!
