It's probably a bad idea. They can get fibers stuck in their throat and choke. If you want to put fabric in your piggies' cage, use fleece.
Yes. Otherwise their teeth get too long and they can't eat. Give them a salt and/or a vitamin+mineral block. Most pet shops sell these.
Guinea pigs are made to chew on things. They need wood and stuff in there cage 24/7 so they can chew it and keep their teeth down. If you have a wooden ramp then that is why it is chewing it. They need to chew on wood all the time, and wooden toys need to always be in there cage. Your guinea pig is chewing on the wooden ramp because that is what it is supposed to do. If you do not want it to chew on the ramp, then go get a plastic ramp because they will not chew on that. I have two guinea pigs, so if you need any other questions please feel free to ask. actually my pigs have a plastic ramp and i had to take it away because it was half gone.
You can but guinea pig supplys from most pet stores.
Yes they can
Because guinea pigs are rodents, Rodent teeth never stop growing so they need to continually wear them down. don't worry on of my guinea pig dos that to even if though i put something in there for them to chew or nibble on their just trying to stop there teeth from over growing its verry natural
no because medal are hard
a very good and helpful website about guinea pigs is guineapigsclub.com. they have all types of helpful stuff for guinea pigs!
Guinea Pigs chew on things in their enclosure because it's their own way of keeping their teeth in good condition and to wear them down so they don't become overgrown. Guinea Pigs teeth are "Open Rooted", this means that they are forever growing. I suggest that you buy a special "chewing" block. Whether it be a small piece of untreated wood, or a solid vitamin block, it's a good way to make sure you don't have an unexpected need to visit the Vet to have their teeth trimmed.
Wood cages are not very good because guinea pigs love to chew on wood. If you give your guinea pig a wooden cage, they might chew threw one day. Your pet might get lost!
because the little guinea pig likes the older one
To help them chew hard food.
They eat the regular guinea pig diet. Guinea pig pellets, timothy hay, water, chew treats, and get them a chew block or salt chew also to help wear their teeth down.
Yes, guinea pigs should have a saltblock.
