they dont need paper just go buy regular bedding for them but dont use wood chips they damage the paws
If you're planning to show your guinea pig at a show you will need papers as they can only be purebred to show. If you are getting a guinea pig that's show quality the breeder should provide you with the proper papers. If you're showing through 4-H you do not need papers.
if you ask your normal vet they may have someone who can care for guinea pigs. At my local vet there is someone who can care for guinea pigs
No, you don't need a pedigree or a registered animal to show a guinea pig. They do need to fit the breed standard and have no disqualifications for the breed and variety. For more info check http://www.acbaonline.com and http://www.arba.net
yes but you would need awful small surgical instruments. You can't. A exotic vet with experience can.
If your guinea pig has an eye infection, or other symptom, you need to take it to the Veterinarian. Once you do this follow the directions and advice of your vet! Do not ignore illness symptoms in your guinea pig, get to a vet that specializes in Exotic Pets and knows about Guinea Pigs.
Your not supposed to trim their teeth! All guinea pigs and other rodents, should be provided with somthing to chew on. In the wild, they gnaw on wood, and eat hard foods to wear their teeth down naturally. In captivity, people forget that these animals still need to do what they do naturally. Buy a chew log from your local pet store. DO NOT ATTEMPT to file your own guinea pigs teeth. If you are THAT concerned, schedule an appointment with a local vet that specializes in exotic pets. Guinea pigs are considered to be exotic.
no you most certainly do not. guinea pigs are not like other mammals.
Guinea pigs, like all animals, need exercise or their muscles will atrophe (go soft). This is the reason tanks for guinea pigs usually have a wheel that the little animals can run around in for exercise.
Well, not necessarily...if you just want to breed your dog because you want puppies that you will keep or give away for no reason, you do not need papers for her...but if you want to breed her professionally and with a professionally bred stud, then you do need papers proving that she has no health issues and that she is a purebred. You will also need papers if you would like to enter her in showmanship competitions, or if you would like to enter her puppies into competitions like wise.
You don't need a guinea pig.
Minneapolis travel can book you an exotic destination anywhere you would like to go. They have great deals on many vacation spots and will get you to where you need to go.
Unlike other rodents like mice, rats and hamsters, guinea pigs don't need a treadmill. They are not active enough.
