They do not stop swimming, if they did they would die.
hammerhead sharks sleep for 2 to 3 hours a day
Sharks can never stop moving, because of the way their gills are. If they stop swimming, water will get in, and they will drown and die.
Sharks never stop swimming. Ever. And they eat almost continuously.
Yes they do when they are sleeping. They tend to just float when they are asleep.
most sharks dont have homes that are built they never stop swimming because if the did the would sink to the bottom of the water and get stuck
yes, but there very hard to find. i mean like, they sell shark fin soup and hammerheads are a type of fin soup of different sharks. but the cost might be around $100- $1000 just on the kind of shark it is. and it is amazingly good. wel, i have not eaten it buts its been heard. sooo yeah, expensive right? haha, :)
Although sharks may graze on the bottom, they never actually sit on the ocean floor. Sharks have to constantly keep swimming, even in their sleep or else they will die.
Both. Sharks never stop swimming. They hunt mainly by smell and vibration, so night or day makes no difference.
No. Bull sharks are solitary predators. Isolated cases of a pair of bulls hunting together have been known. Otherwise, they dont live or hunt in groups. They feed on anything and everything that is smaller than them and can fit in their mouth.
That depends on the type of shark. BTW in case you were wondering, it is not true that all (most) sharks can never stop swimming and must always be moving otherwise they die. But it is true that they need flowing water.
Yes, hammerhead sharks can attack humans. According to Shark week (Discovery Channel) in the last year there have been 33 attacks by hammerheads. None of these were fatal. There are 9 different species of hammerhead sharks.Sometimes, yes. But very rarely. There are fewer than 15 reported cases of unprovoked attacks on humans.According to my son's shark book, they are very aggressive and attack humans easily.According to wikipedia:"Of the nine known species of hammerhead, three can be dangerous to humans: the scalloped, great, and smooth hammerheads."http:/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hammerhead_sharkAccording to Buzzle.com:"Are Hammerhead Sharks really as dangerous as they sound?Well, although sharks have always been associated with being aggressive and dangerous to encounter in the sea, no shark would bite a human for no reason and most Hammerheads are small in size. Such are considered harmless to humans. Well, as long as you don't get into their bad books by provoking them! When caught by fishermen, they are generally released back into the wild."http:/www.buzzle.com/articles/hammerhead-shark.htmlyes but only 33. there has never in history been a record of a hammerhead shark killing a human
What kind of hammerhead? The smaller ones like the bonehead are about the size of a sea turtle, so they don't eat sea turtles. There are 6 species of hammerheads and the bigger ones might eat the turtle. I never seen one eat a turtle.
