They are not going to listen to you if you punish them.
I hope you weren't going to hit her/him for biting you.
Trust me, they will like you if clean their cage often,
give them fresh water everyday and healthy food.

∙ 13y agoYes. Imagine being stabbed with a screwdriver, one of those small, flat ones, like a watchmaker's tool. Now imagine four of them stabbing at the same time, squeezing together - that's a hamster bite.

∙ 12y agoYes they do because when a hamster intentionaly bites and it can bleed quite a lot! when a hamster bites they grip you quite hard and their teeth are sharp so it would hurt! my first hamster only bit in the first week i had him when i was taming him and after that he was fine, but i wasn't experienced with hamsters then!! my second hamster only bit my dad and my third hamster (the one i have now) has never biten anyone and hopefully he never will!! don't fear taming your hamster because you need to do it while they are still getting to know you then in the future they shouldn't bite. try to get your hamster to accosiate something good with your hand like they get a treat if they come near you without biting you!! hope i helped!! you can send me a message if you need any more help!! x

It isn't all that bad, but you still do not want to get bitten by one.
An average hamster bite doesn't hurt, but a Dwarf Hamster's bite hurts the worst of any hamster bite.
