Yes. Hamsters have two kinds of poo. One kind of poo is garbage, and the other kind is a poo that can be digested again. Hamsters only eat the poo that can be digested again but not the garbage one. Once hamsters have digested it again, they cant digest it a third time, because it already turned into garbage the second time. So dont worry if your hamster eats his own poo, its natural.
Well I have 3 Hamsters and 2 of them gave birth (which of course are females). About 4 of the babies unfortunately could not survive the birth so the mother ate them. So basically the mother (or father) does not eat them unless they pass away.
