Generally, if hamsters can fit it into their mouth and its not meat, they will eat it. However, like humans, they do prefer certain foods over others. This is not dictated by species, but rather by each individual hamster. For example, one Russian dwarf hamster may absolutely hate peas and no matter how many you give to it, it will always spit them back out. However, another Russian dwarf hamster may absolutely love peas and eat or pouch every one you give it.
