Hedgehogs eat a variety of things, mainly insects, but will eat earth worms, slugs, snails, frogs and birds eggs. They don't hunt for voles but will eat carrion, so would be opportunistic if they came across a dead one.

No, not all insects. Some are toxic, and there are some they can't catch.

My hedgehogs Izzy and Sophie don't eat Spiders and I'm sure other hedgehogs don't either. But the food I give them is Core Cat food and mealworms. They love it!
