Hermit crabitats can have sand or coconut fibers, for they both are good for burying under.
sand; they like to bury themselves.
hermit crabs i guess
pineapples can
70 -80 degrees. They need sand or rocks, also something to climb on. It depends if theyre land or water hermit crabs. Im referring to land crabs. They also need 70-85% humidity.
It depends on the gauge. Hermit crabs don't tolerate powder fine sand, it needs to be sugar sized granules.
nope! most people own hermit crabs and have them in tanks with sand.
I have mine in a fish tank with sand in the bottom. If you have land hermit crabs put something for them to climb on in there and prop up large sea shells so they can barrow under them. Sea hermit crabs they like to hang on fish rocks.
Sand is better so they can dig.
Sand or rocks are best. But, many crabs like coconut fiber. you can find it at most pet stores.
no
Empty snail shells.
It depends on where you find them. Are they in the rocks or tidepools. They are just small crabs waiting to become big crabs like you find in the ocean. Otherwise, are they in the sand, they are actually called sandcrabs. Sandcrabs are usually grey or silver in color with many legs and look kind of like "rolly pollys". You can dig for them each time a wave goes back out to the ocean. The crabs in the rocks, or the tiny, tiny ones you see on the sand are just little crabs that have hatched and are waiting to become big crabs before they go out to the ocean.
No, for the substrate you can have coconut fiber. I have half of that and sand.
