They do! They must wear Hollister jeans (they purchase their first pair at half price). Depending on the store, they may or may not be given a polo or other Hollister shirt.
EDIT. If you ask any of the employees at the store, they will tell you that they are not required to wear Hollister clothing and that they do get 50% off discounts on select items. I've worked at Hollister for 2 years and honestly it depends on the manager who works there. There is this list called AAA or Triple As (either or) that has a list of clothing items that have the 50% off discount. Employees are usually allowed to use the discount on two tops and one pair of bottoms. Employees are supposed to wear the AAA for work but to escape getting in trouble for that A&F has stated that employees are not required to wear Hollister clothing but must wear clothing that is in the current style and in the company colors of gray, navy and white. Some managers could care less if you wore AAA as long as your clothes were in the color scheme you were good. Other managers, however, will not schedule someone if they refuse to wear/buy AAA.
No, not always, although employees usually wear Hollister, they are only required to clothing that "looks" Hollister and can at least correspond to something similar that is available at Hollister. You can't wear anything with large logos or the brand name across the front of other brands like American Eagle, or Aeropostale. As long as the clothes look similar in style, it is fine to wear. I must say though, I have never been in a Hollister store where they are not wearing Hollister clothing. The truth is, a discounted price is given to the employees in exchange for loyalty to that store. Why would you want an employee advertising another store while they are working for Hollister? They tend to stick to Hollister clothing though. It's part of their job.
EDIT: I work at Hollister and most of us don't wear full Hollister outfits. I rarely wear anything Hollister. Most employees wear one or two items from Hollister daily. But, just like regular teenagers, we can't afford to have our whole wardrobe be from Hollister regardless of our discount or paycheck! We usually stock up on basic tees and jeans from any other store without the brand advertised on it.
EDIT2: Currently at hollister you employees are also only allowed to wear navy, gray or white tops and jeans.
EDIT3: & shoes must be either flip flops, converse, or vans.
EDIT4: Converse shoes aren't allowed anymore. Vans must be slip on classic vans.
EDIT5: If you work at Hollister you are allowed to wear Abercrombie & Fitch tops as well as Hollister. This is because both Hollister and A&F are owned by the same people. I don't think jeans matter because I've seen HCo employees wearing American Eagle jeans but most are decked out in all Hollister or A&F all the time.I work there, and the answer is no. You just have to wear Hollister looking stuff. But, it's just easier to wear a top from the store to go along with "the look." However, it isn't required just as long as you're not wearing something with a competitor's logo that's visibly displayed.
The general answer in NO, however in rare cases select Floor Models of Hollister Co do receive free cloths in exchange for there "great looks" to present new items - in my store around Christmas 2007 two models were selected to greet every person in the store and ask them to try SoCal - the fragrance. They received an entire outfit for free.
Otherwise, all Hollister Employees revieve 10% off on all full price items and when a new floor set comes along they receive 30% off on select cloths known as "AAA". No discount is received for clearence items.
Managers receive 30% off.
Because they like clothes from Hollister.
i think people who wear hollister are nice preepy people.
my opinion, is that hollister is the best brand of clothes, that is all i wear all season long i dont wear anything else(: luhhvf. <3 and this is what i have to say to the answer above: You are so unoriginal!!! Seriously all that matters is that you have a style. it doesn't matter what brand it is. If the clothes are cute, fine then wear them. But you dont have to wear all hollister or abercombie all year longg!! BE YOURSELF... Be originall What i have to say: I lile Hollister, but i wouldnt wear em all year
i wear mostly the popular brands as clothes (e.g. hollister, bench abercrombie etc.)
