Yes, honey bees rest. The insects in question (Apis spp) take time off from such outside chores as collecting nectar and pollen inside their hive or nest. They will have other responsibilities that need to be worked around, such as maintaining cells and processing and storing food, inside the beekeeper-built hive or the wild nest.
