yes because you dont need to be pulling on there mouths while riding them. they might get fustrated with you and might buck or do something crazy that you wont like. believe me that happened to me! MANY times... well that might justbe cuz myhorse is stupid. but yes it is better to ride your horsee with a longer rein
This is likely the bearing rein, used in horse carriages. The bearing rein was used to force the horses head into an upright carriage to make it look more stylish. However it had bad physical side effects on the horses, including pinched nerves, muscle pain, back problems and breathing trouble. There are other devices that can be used while the horse is being ridden that work similarly to the bearing rein, these include the De Gogue among others.
A stock horse is a horse that fits into a specific category for conformation and job. Stock horses are usually compact , fairly short, know how to work cattle, can work off of loose rein aids or no rein aids at all , and are workman like. A pack horse can be any breed or type so long as it can carry a pack saddle and pannier's. Donkeys and mules typically make the best pack animals due to their strength in relation to their size but stock horses and draft crosses usually do very well also. A pack horse must be sure footed, not prone to spooking, and can work off of absolutely no rein or lead control.

Some vets will work with horses. Otherwise, there are specialty equine-vets who will work almost only with horses.
There are stray horses that live in the wild. But, no not all horses live on farms. Not all horses are work horses (Mules are usually better). They're often used for shows (jumpers, hunters, dressage..), fox hunting, general transportation.. All sorts of things.
Horses might not work because of the versions you are using.
Horses are mostly used for work or for competitions.

yes, some horses have been known to jump 7-8 feet! But you must work up to this. build your horses muscles up. Its better to take a few months to work up to 5 feet than to spend a year with an injured horse, not being able to ride at all.
