They drink nectar from all sorts of flowers, here's little list of some flowers that attract them:

Abelia, Bluebell of Scotland, Blue Hill Sage, Bottlebrush, Bougainvillea, Butterfly bush, Cosmos, Cotoneaster, Cypress Vine, Dwarf Yarrow, Eucalyptus, Evening Primrose, Flame Vine, Flowering Quince, Gold Plate Yarrow, Honeysuckle, Hummingbird bush, Lantana, Meadow Sage, Mimosa Tree, Morning Glories, Nasturtium, Rosary Vine, Sage, Salal, Strawberry Tree, Verbena, Wild Lilac, Woolly Yarrow, and Yarrow.

These colors also attract hummingbirds: Red, orange, white, purple, pink, and blue, so if you are wearing one of these colors outside don't be surprised if a hummingbird comes to see if there is any flowers to drink from on your shirt.

Other plants are: Perennials, vines, shrubs, trees, bedding plants, and hanging plants.

roses and daises

They don't eat flowers. They just drink nectar from them.
