A major is not required for entry into law school, but excellent grades are.
You do not need any specific major to apply for law school. Some colleges offer an Pre-Law undergraduate program to prepare students for law school; however, this is not necessary. There is a test called the LSAT (similar to the SAT, except that it is for law school admission rather than college admission) which tests your reasoning and logic abilities, etc., which should be taken before applying to law school. In order to be accepted to law school, you should score well on this test and show, by whatever major you choose, that you have high academic standards and a committment to work hard and succeed, but there is no particular major needed to apply for law school.
Absolutely!! You can apply to law school if you have a Bachelor's degree in anything. Many law schools in fact say that they like diversity among their students.
No, there are no law schools in the United States which offer online law school degrees or law school degree programs. You have to apply and attend a school in person.
No you don't need any qualifications in Law and you can apply for a secretarial school role. It's not required for you to have qualifications in Law, as you are not planning to work at a law office.
More of them study law than any other major. Before law school. they major in something related to law school study.
Start by taking the LASAT then apply
Apply to a school of law, study and complete your degree and then apply to the Bar of the jurisdiction in which you want to practice your profession.
In the United States, any person with a bachelor's degree can apply to law school. No particular undergraduate major is required. I believe that there is still a standardized test called the LSAT, which law school applicants must take to be considered for admission. While no particular major is required, it is helpful to have some coursework in business and economics. Developing good writing skills is important as well.
depends on the school. for all Ontario law schools we apply to OLSAS in the fall before the year we want to attend (so nearly a year before our first year will start).
Law, UCLA is know for their great law school.
Social Studies ------------------------------- If you are asking what you should major in if you are planning to apply to law school, you can major in anything. Traditionally, students who wanted to go to law school would start in pre-law or political science majors. Now, law schools are broadening their scopes, and accept students from a variety of backgrounds. Students with science/engineering back grounds do well in patten law. Students with criminal justice backgrounds often go into prosecution/criminal defense. Students with international affairs backgrounds often do international work, etc. Law students often major in library science, literature, history, philosophy, etc. If you want to go to law school, any major will be ok, so long as you get your BA/BS from an accredited university. But remember, more difficult majors will make you more competitive. A major in hospitality or sports management probably won't get you into a law school.
Law School is three years but you have to have a four year degree from a college first before you can apply for law school
