Yes. Keeshonds are in one of my books, they look kind-of like chow-shaped huskies and are very fluffy and apparantly very good family dogs.

Keeshonds are a spitz type breed which were originally bred as Dutch barge dogs (hense their barking habits). There are similar, smaller breeds- Japanese Spitz (white) and German Spitz (variety of colours as well as multi's).

Its most probably a staff. Shih Tzu/Lhaso apso: They are always SO, SO friendly, playful and hyper-active and I love them VERY much! I like Staffies too- Old English sheepdogs are the clown prince of the canine kingdom, but they are large and hyperactive. Keeshonds were bred for their companionship, so (as a breed) they are well-known for being calm around people.
