Some do and some don't! I used to have two (now only one) One liked to climb around on my hand and the other not so much. Also be careful they can be fast and jumpy though. Of course the one that liked me died but the other one now likes me and I can hold him. So yes you can try to handle them and maybe they just don't like to. From: Lms1211

∙ 12y agoMost reptiles don't like being handled ! Think about it - they would rarely encounter a human in their natural habitat - and would view them as a predator. Having said that, most captive reptiles will acclimatise themselves to human contact - and - although the never actually like being handled - they tolerate it as they come to realise they're not going to be harmed. Some captive reptiles however, never 'tame down' - I have a few in my collection that have bitten me on more than one occasion ! I refuse to part with them simply because of their 'feisty attitude' !

∙ 11y agoCrested geckos are very social able animals. Being the second most popular gecko is the reptile hobby a lot of family's benefit from having a crested because of their docile nature. They can be handled everyday with very limited stress on them. 30-60minutes daily would not harm the geckos well being.
