Mutations usually cause things to evolve, depending on the gene which is mutated. Mutations are changes in the genetic material of an organism resulting in changes in the gene pool (if the mutated traits are passed on). If the mutated gene is a desirable/advantageous one, then the chances that it willbe passed on to future generations is increased. In this process, which occurs over a period of time, old genes may be lost in the gene pool, resulting in evolution.
I don't see how it doesn't cause evolution.
Many, if not most, mutations are neutral, meaning that they have little or no effect on the expression of genes or the function of the proteins for which they code.
organisims are born with mutations some of the time. if those mutations (however slight that they are) helpthe organisim survive and reproduce better than other organisims of the same species, then the population of that specific species will become more and more saturated with organisims of that species. this is considered evolution.
Because cars are not living things. organisms are living things.
They Can't Reproduce, They can't evolve over time, and they do not have metabolisms.
Here are eight characteristics of living things:living things grow and developliving things are based on a universal genetic code (DNA)living things respond and adjust to the environmentliving things are made of cellsliving things reproduceliving things maintain a stable internal environmentliving things obtain and use materials and energyliving things, as a group, adapt and evolve over time
All living "Organic" things or life forms will mutate as a process of natural selection. This ensures that the strongest species survives. Without mutations, organisms would not evolve or improve their success to survive!
Natural selection (survival of the fittest) means that valuable adaptations and mutations have the greatest number of surviving descendants.
Mutations happen in ALL living things (and also in viruses)!!!!!!
Mutations and sexual reproduction.
Mutations and sexual reproduction.

that they are all related. All living things have evolved from some creature. because different organisms are at different places they will evolve differently because of natural selection.
Whoa. Mutations usually cause things to evolve, depending on the gene which is mutated. Yes, all populations of living things evolve over time as individuals die and new individuals are born. Each new generation in the population is slightly different from previous generations.Selection pressures influence which individuals die and how many.Gene shuffling, mutations, etc. influence the differences in the new individuals born.
All living things evolve, until the species goes extinct. So the answer is yes.
The characteristic of living things most associated with evolution is physical change. According to the theory of evolution, as living things evolve, they experience a number of physical changes to adapt to their environment.
