Best Answer

because they were designed to do minimal work not the overload of thing s you do it with it's like when someone ages they lose memories or get sick. machines get old and lose parts or the parts brake the only thing you can do is deal with it

All machines, even the most simple designs, are subject to the friction forces that exist between two moving objects and the Laws of Thermodynamics.

The First Law of Thermodynamics states that 'Energy can neither be created nor destroyed, only changed in form". In effect, a machine is the device that changes the form of energy to perform work.

For example, a gasoline engine utilizes chemical energy from the combustion of gasoline and transforms that energy to mechanical energy to produce work that turns the crankshaft, transmission gears, driveshaft, tires, and then to the road to make a vehicle travel forward.

The amount of energy that is released by the combustion of gasoline is greater than that used to make the vehicle travel forward. This loss of energy transfer is realized due to the friction of the parts in the engine, the gears of the transmission, and the tires with the road.

Methods are used to reduce this energy transfer loss. Lubricants such as engine oil, transmission oil, tight tolerances between the piston rings and engine block, etcetera are all designed to reduce friction forces. Unfortunately, science has not yet found a way to completely eliminate these losses.

However, one example of a virtually frictionless machine is a MAGLEV train. MAGLEV is an acronym for Magnetic Levitation. These trains use magnets to levitate the train from the track and propel the train forward. These trains, popular in Europe, are able to move very fast for little relative energy spent because there are no moving parts experiencing friction losses with the track.

In summary, any machine that has parts that contact one another can never perfectly transfer and transform energy because friction forces will take some of that energy and transform it into heat energy, and be lost because that heat is not used to perform work.

Assuming you mean simple machines, then no. They simply change the direction of the force or the distance over which you need to apply force.

Because machines allow force to be applied over a greater distance.

Apparently ''people'' don't have a reason. They just don't realise it!

Some energy is always lost in overcoming friction which converts part of the input energy into non-productive forms such as heat or sound.

How do you vacuum to waste with a standard intex vacuum?

When you vacuum you waste power, energy, electricity and that is all used when you vacuum or any other machines that are needed to be plug were the energy comes from swithes. Not all machines use electricity like a toy it needs batteries.Batteries have electricity in them already which are made for small machines.

How do machines waste energy?

ANS1: (seems a bit off-topic)Thanks to the latest technological breakthroughs in waste to energy progressions, There is a new machine than converts waste to energy. It takes ordinary garbage and turns it into renewable reusable energy. http://www.wastetoenergymachines.com/ is a broker for these machines. There is a very informative video on this website that explains the whole waste to energy process and how the machines works.ANS2:A machine converts energy. Anytime energy is converted, there is loss as heat. As an example: You use a pulley (a form of first class lever) to convert your downward pull into an upward pull. As the pulley turns about its axle, friction converts some of your pull into heat. You can call that waste or you can look at it as the cost of using the machine.

how to manage organic waste?

organic waste management machines

What force stops machines from being 100 percent efficient?

Any mechanical action will waste energy as heat, therefore the work output is always less than the enegry input.

How a machine transforms energy into waste energy?

A machine transforms energy into waste energy in that the motor is moving fast and the waste energy is produced.

Does geothermal energy leave waste?

No, geothermal energy has no waste.

How do machines create energy?

It is wrong to say machines create energy. Machines have to be given energy to make them effective. This could be electric energy, solid liquid or gaseous energy, thermal energy, mechanical energy (like a flywheel for example). It may be possible to design machines which will search for their energy by themselves, some robots may already have achieved. Remember we humans are also machines, but we get our energy from digesting food.
