i think that men that do this are so insecure about themselves and are not in touch with who they are. they do not want to feel the pain of a break up that they hook onto whom ever is willing to take them in.
Although it seems that men and women are wired differently, men may have a hard time after a break up, they are not made of stone :)
as far as i know women have more upper back pain and pain on shoulders and neck than men, whereas men are prone to lower back pain.
