No they are not. Many men say Shih Tzu's are a girl/womans dog. Well they are wrong. They are loving cuddable dogs. They are very good with children from any ages. They are quick to train and are a great dog! All men say they wouldnt be caught dead with a Shih Tzu because they think they will look gay if they take he/she for a walk. Wrong again. They are a male and females dog. The long haired Shih Tzu''s are mainly caught with women owners. But the short haired Shih Tzu's are mainly a family dog. I myself are a Shih Tzu and me and my husband always take it on a walk. My husband his self takes it on a walk and has never said anything about anyone saying he looks gay with a shorthaired Shih Tzu. These dogs are so worth there money! AND THEY ARE NOT GIRL/WOMENS DOGS! SO GIVE OVER MEN!
