I recently put a wild mouse/vole thing my cats drug in into a cage and tried feeding it strawberries, walnuts, oats and various other things.. (i was trying to keep it alive until its wounds healed) about 15 minutes later it was nosing in the dirt i put in there from my garden and it pulled up a worm and was devouring it..
