They keep trying!
People get bored of fashion quickly and therefore they try to find other things to reduce their fashion boredom. They also get bored because the fashion that they start to like then gets out of date and goes on to the next fashion load. In addition, don't forget if fashions didn't change, designers, models and manufacturers, as well as so many middlemen merchant princes, would have to go on welfare since they have no job skills. Fashion changes keep the few wealthy and the rest of us broke.
There is still a fashion for thin models. Many models eat little so as to keep thin and this can lead to osteoporosis.
I would say because they don't want to be behind and make less money than the other designers. Plus it's just their thing to keep up with the latest styles and fashions.
You need to have a good experience on what you're doing. Whatever you make has to be unique, stylish, creative, preferable. You should keep touch with the big designers.
In my opinion, anyone can be anything they want to:] Start sketching out outfits on a notepad, naming them and make clothes that go with seasons. Keep dreaming and hoping and your desire will come to you.

It depends. It could be a girl from a third world country or the top designers of New York. Also, fashion trends just keep on recycling, so when the fad comes along again, it becomes all hyped up.
Fashion Designers... Fashion designers design clothes and accessories for manufacture and sale to the public. The very first fashion designer was a man named Charles Frederick Worth. Before he established the "House of Worth" in the mid-1800's, most people had their clothes made by anonymous seamstresses. With the House of Worth, people could say their suits or gowns were name-brand. Of course, nowadays we can recognize fashion designers not only by their clothes, but also by their faces. Some high fashion designers are self-employed and design clothes for private clients. Others work for high fashion houses or specialty stores. These designers create original designs but also follow trends. Most designers work for apparel manufacturers. They adapt fashion designs for the mass market. Fashion designers review fashion magazines and attend shows to keep up on fashion trends. They consult with clients or supervisors to find out what types of designs are needed. They combine this information with their own personal taste and knowledge of design to create ideas. Fashion designers make rough sketches of garments or accessories. The next step is to shape the pattern pieces that will result in the finished garment. They measure and draw pattern pieces to actual size on paper. Then they use these pieces to measure and cut pattern pieces in a sample fabric. Designers sew the pieces together and fit them on a model. They examine the sample garment and make changes until they get the effect they want. Some designers have assistants who cut and sew pattern pieces for them. Fashion designers usually work cooperatively with head designers or heads of manufacturing firms. They arrange to show sample garments at sales meetings or fashion shows. When the designs are approved, they make final drawings. They also specify color scheme, sewing method, and type of fabric. In some companies, designers are also involved in each step of production. Designers often use computer-based drawing programs to create sketches and drawings. These programs allow designers to store drawing and easily change details. Some designers work independently. They may be in charge of purchasing materials for designs as well as the designing itself. They may also decide how to price and market their work. Some designers do custom work for individuals, including certain stores or even TV shows and films. Sorry it is so long... !
There are quite a few influences in fashion. Global events could influence fashion. If there is a global craze for something, fashion desgners might feed off of that. Also, there local area materials can have some influence in fashion. The seasons greatly influence fashoin, as you can't wear summer clothes in winter, unless you live near the equator, but designers like to keep with the seasons as well. And demand from stores for a certain type of clothing will change the style of fashion.

They would keep enough to clothe themselves and their families.
