Momo and Toshiro were best friends a kids. Momo went t to the soul reaper academy then Toshiro followed shortly after. As kids Momo would call Toshiro- Little SHiro (shiro cahn in japanese) and Toshiro would counter by saying Bedwetter. While Momo was in the academy she Ment Renji and Izuru(sister made Izuru like a girl). Those three became best friends. Toshiro met a boy named Kusaka(find out in Bleach Movie 2 The Fiamonddust Rebellion). Toshiro and Kusaka ended up both weilding Hyomimaru and so that led them them to fight because of Central $6's order. Toshiro ended up being the wielder of Hyomimaru. Momo ended up weilding Tobiume and she became Lieutenant of squad 5 and Toshiro captain of squad 10 with Rangiku Matsumoto as his lieutenant. During te series you find out that Gin and Sousuke tried to kill Momo and in one episode they succed. Aizen uses his zampakto to create an illusion to make Toshiro think Momo is Aizen and Toshiro ended up killing Momo because of that. When Toshiro is freed of the illusion after he atacked Momo, Momo asked for one thing off Toshiro. A kiss. He ends up kissing her and then she dies. *crying*

There is no evidence that Toshiro likes Momo in a romantic fashion, expessully not a kiss... as that has not happened. I think he does like her. He always wants to protect her from harm. and sometimes thinks about her.

In various fandoms, there are pairings that are popular that are not canon. So, let's look at the possible evidence of them being a pairing, or not being a pairing.1.) Toshiro protects Momo. The problems with this is, protecting someone does not mean someone has romantic feelings for them. The theme of Bleach is protecting those one cares about, not to mention, in Japan, it is the duty of a person to protect their family.2.) Toshiro and Momo grew up together. Some fans like to simply say, they were childhood friends, when in fact, the two did grow up in the same house. It is lost in translation for the English version, but in Diamond Dust Rebellion, when Rukia talks about what she does know about Toshiro, in the Japanese subtitles, she refers to them growing up as siblings.3.) Kira likes Momo. Sorry to all Toshiro/Momo fans, but there is more showing of a possible crush on Momo by Kira, then there is Toshiro.4.) Age difference. There is possibly a major age difference between Momo and Toshiro. One HAS to keep in mind, one ages slower in Soul Society, and one DOES age. Evidence of the fact, is Rukia goes from the size of an infant, to the size she is now, while Gin grows from about midway on Aizen, to Aizen's height roughly. Momo has not been growing, but Toshiro has been catching up to her height wise.The likely hood of them being a pairing... slim... but don't let that stop you from liking the pairing, or fanficing it.
