No. People almost have no reason to fear bats at all. Most do not have rabies - only 40 people in the US have been infected by bats in the last 40 years. They do not get tangled in peole's hair. Echolocation helps them see every single hair. And they do not suck human blood. Like other preadtors, if desperate, they will feast on humans, but they only take 2 tablespoons every time and leave the prey greatly unaffected. Also, there are only 3 species of vampire bats out of the 1100+ known species of bats. They are actually very important to most ecosystems, and some plants would even go extinct without bats.
